I'm a software developer for a small, but fast growing service provider in the travel industry. My primary job is a .NET developer, but my role doesn't always fit the "mold" of a developer. I started working there in May of 2005, as employee number 18, when there were only 14 of us total. We have since moved offices and grown to over 50 employees with more on the way. My role has changed from being what we called a "stem-cell" developer to being a Lead on one of the teams. Due to my tenure, I'm constantly switching roles to fill in gaps and fix problems. For the last year or so I've been involved in team planning and procedure planning, as well as interviewing and hiring individuals for our teams.
My educational background includes graduating from Plano Senior High School, a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas, and two years in Master’s Commission of Plano/Leadership Master’s Commission.
I’m a semi-professional photographer, a graphics designer, sound engineer, contract programmer and multi-media consultant. I’m the owner of Simplified Solutions, LLC, which is a software solutions developer with a focus on media and information management. I’m also the owner and director of Simplified Ministry, a non-profit organization with a focus on providing meaningful solutions to ministry administration and management problems.
I recently got hitched to my beautiful wife Rebecca. Rebecca is in internet marketing for a major retail chain in the US.
This is my website and blog. The content will be related to projects, writings and books I’m working on. This means that the topics can range from life stories and experiences to photography tips and tricks. Most of the topics will be related to design, programming or the church, and any combination of those three topics. I’ll also post reviews of books, movies, and software as I’m able to finish my evaluation of those items.
